Charlie's Shoes

Above is an example of a highly specialized feature--a dog's paw.  Evolved over millions and millions of years, it helps the dog bear its full weight and walk on a variety of surfaces, without injury.  It works. It really does. 


The below, however, is an example of an overly concerned mother's attempt to protect her precious baby's delicate feet from the mean, scary cold.

So it seems Charlie can now add a pair, or 2 pairs, of shoes to his wardrobe.
