Charlie loves his new buddy, "Henry". We placed a 'ticking' clock inside the stuffed animal to mimic the beating heart of his mom/siblings, which helps him adjust to his new home. It seems to be working. Charlie sleeps with it during naps and at night--and when he's awake, he drags poor Henry around the house and chews at his ears and feet.
You can buy these type of stuffed animals that come with a 'beating heart' for about $34, but we decided to just do it ourselves by buying a stuffed animal at the store ($9), cutting a small opening in its chest, placing a small, plastic clock inside, and then sewing him back up. It makes you feel a bit like a cardiac surgeon.
