Charlie goes to Naples

When we go on vacation, we always think about dog-friendliness of our destination. We always take Charlie with us, so the first thing we do when planning on vacation is to look for a dog-friendly hotel or vacation rental, and then look for dog-friendly activities. Although Southern states are not known to be dog-progressive like some of the places we've been to in the Pacific Northwest, we found quite a few nice places we can take Charlie with.

Here are two recommendations for vacationers with canine companions in Naples:

1. Naples Botanical Garden: This is a very large and beautiful tropical garden that has dog walk hours. The garden is divided into different sections, such as Brazilian garden, Caribbean garden, and water garden. A lovely place to unwind and take a stroll through gardens and garden trails with your dog.

2. Keewaydin Island: All the major beaches we checked out were not dog-friendly; the only dog-friendly beach we could find was Keewaydin Island beach, which is accessible only by boat. Not all boat rentals were dog-friendly; the one we used was a rental company attached to the Naples Bay Resort and Marina. Although the island is not easily accessible, it's all worth it! It is a long-stretch of white sand beach, with not many people around.

And of course, rolling in the sand
