Charlie hates getting his ears cleaned. He'll whine and cry just as we put the bottle near his ear and then shake his head vigorously once the solution is inside the ear canal. After that, he calms down a bit because he likes the way it feels when we massage his ear to ensure the solution gets where it needs to be. (The vet showed us how to do this technique.) Hopefully, his infection will clear by his next vet visit.

Feisty Yeast
Charlie still has a bit of a yeast infection in his ear, so we're back to applying the medicated solution 2x a day. The way you can tell is by the faint odor in his ear. It smells a little like bread. Noby doesn't like the smell, but I do. It reminds me of the Wonder Bread factory I used to drive by during my commute.

By the way, the table that Charlie is sitting on is our little operations table. In addition to ear cleaning, we use this for all of Charlie's grooming needs. It works well. A 'real' grooming table (see picture on the right) comes with a device to hang the leash to help prevent him from moving too much...but they're expensive, around $150. So we decided to just buy a small table at Target for $20 and tie his leash to a hook we placed in the wall. Only the best for Charlie!
