Charlie goes to Naples
When we go on vacation, we always think about dog-friendliness of our destination. We always take Charlie with us, so the first thing we do when planning on vacation is to look for a dog-friendly hotel or vacation rental, and then look for dog-friendly activities. Although Southern states are not known to be dog-progressive like some of the places we've been to in the Pacific Northwest, we found quite a few nice places we can take Charlie with.
Here are two recommendations for vacationers with canine companions in Naples:
1. Naples Botanical Garden: This is a very large and beautiful tropical garden that has dog walk hours. The garden is divided into different sections, such as Brazilian garden, Caribbean garden, and water garden. A lovely place to unwind and take a stroll through gardens and garden trails with your dog.
2. Keewaydin Island: All the major beaches we checked out were not dog-friendly; the only dog-friendly beach we could find was Keewaydin Island beach, which is accessible only by boat. Not all boat rentals were dog-friendly; the one we used was a rental company attached to the Naples Bay Resort and Marina. Although the island is not easily accessible, it's all worth it! It is a long-stretch of white sand beach, with not many people around.

New Home
Charlie settled in our new home in Florida without problems. This is the 4th house he's ever lived in. The only problem is that Charlie doesn't want to go for a walk because it's too hot and uncomfortable for him. After walking a few minutes, he just lies down on the ground and refuses to go any further. As soon as I turn around to head home, he gets up and starts walking again.
That said, he loves running around the backyard, and he spends a lot of time chasing lizards.
Charlie enjoys "water sports"
